There have been reports of a rampant rise of the filthy perverted sin of necrophilia in Muslim nations.
Connections between the disturbing practice of necrophilia and Islam are back in the news.
“In a shocking revelation,” begins one Apr. 29 report, “parents in Pakistan now guard their dead daughters against rape by putting padlocks to their graves. … [N]ecrophilia cases are on the rise in the country.”
This issue is not limited to Pakistan. According to an Aug. 22, 2022, report, a female Afghan refugee to India “revealed that the Taliban has sex with dead bodies.”
What to make of these macabre revelations? Is Islam really to blame?
As usual, when determining whether a practice is or is not Islamic, one must turn to the prophet of Islam: Muhammad. According to a bizarre hadith (a recorded tradition concerning his sayings and doings) that exists in six of Islam’s classical reference texts (including the important Kanz al-‘Umal and al-Hujja fi Biyan al-Mahujja), Muhammad once took off his shirt, placed it on a dead woman, and then descended into her grave to “lay with her.”
As they hurled dirt atop the corpse and Muhammad, the grave diggers exclaimed, “O Prophet, we see you doing a thing you never did with anyone else.” The Prophet responded, “I dressed her in my shirt so that she may be dressed in heavenly robes, and I lay [myself] with her in her grave so that the pressures of the grave may be alleviated from her.”
This report isn’t surprising one bit. The sexually perverted false prophet of Islam engaged in acts of necrophilia.
“The prophet of Allah took off his gown and put it on Om Ali and slept with her in her grave and they kicked dirt on him, saying: ‘Oh messenger of Allah, we saw you do something no one else has ever done.’ He said: ‘I dressed her in my gown, so she can wear the gowns of paradise and I slept with her in her grave to relieve her of the torments of the grave.’” (Kanz al-‘Ommal in Sunan al Aqwal wa al-Af’al, vol. 16, p. 158)
“There is no need to rewash a dead woman if her husband has sex with her after she dies….And there is no punishment for anyone who has sex with a dead woman or limits sex to sex with a dead woman.” (Abd Al-Hameed Al-Sharawani, Howashi al-Sharwani (Al-Qubra, Egypt: Al-Maktabah Al-Tojariah, 1983, vol. 1, p. 263)
“There is no restriction against sex with a dead woman or an animal.” (Mohammad Al-Sherbini Al-Khateeb, Al-Iqna3 fi Hal al-Faz: Abu Shoja’a (Beirut: Dar al-Fikr, 1994, vol. 2, p. 521)
“Anas said: ‘I was present when the daughter of God’s messenger was being buried. He was sitting beside the grave and I saw his eyes shedding tears. He then asked, “Is there any of you who did not have sexual intercourse last night?” Abu Talha replied that he had not, so he told him to go down into her grave, and he did so. Bukhari transmitted it.’” (Mishkat al-Masabih 1715)
Although the Bible doesn’t directly address necrophilia, we know touching a dead body made a person unclean under the Mosaic law (see Numbers 19:11–16) and ALL forms of sexual acts outside of marriage are sinful (see Acts 15:20; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 1 Corinthians 6:13-18; 1 Corinthians 10:8; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Jude 1:7-8; Revelation 21:8). Death ends a marriage (see Romans 7:2). Thus, it is impossible for the necrophiliac false prophet of Islam to be biblically married to the object of his lust, which means necrophilia is fornication and falls under the same condemnation as other forms of extramarital sex.
